Vannevar Labs builds next generation defense software for the public servants keeping our country safe. This mission has become urgent. Ukraine is engaged in a war for survival with Russia. China regularly flies nuclear-capable bombers into Taiwan and Japan's airspace. The US and our allies are fighting a war of deterrence with woefully outdated technology. We build software to support these missions, including providing battlefield information to allies, identifying malign activity, and helping the US deter and deescalate conflict. What you'll do
- Create, implement, and deploy RF sensing solutions for a variety of domains
- Prototype quickly, put solutions in the field, and iterate in close partnership with our mission partners
- Partner with other teams cross-functionally to deliver an end-to-end solution involving hardware, control software, and visualization software
- Mentor others on the team
- Travel up to 20% of the time to meet with mission owners, better understand requirements, and deliver capabilities
What we're looking for
- Experience with RF systems, particularly sensors and SDRs
- Experience developing signal processing solutions
- Knowledge of radar or communication-related processing and concepts, including detection and estimation, beamforming, adaptive signal processing, and target tracking
- Experience building and owning features end-to-end
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience with AWS
- Proficiency with Python
What we offer The salary range for this position is $160,000-$210,000 + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.
