Title of Position: Senior Software Developer

Position Type: Full-Time. Regular hours include Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Compensation Range: $95,000/Yr. - $135,000/Yr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: Hybrid/Remote opportunity for candidates residing ONLY in NY, NJ or PA

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Design, build, program, test, and deploy code using multiple languages.
  • Lead software development efforts ensuring thorough testing, data integrity, and adherence to documentation standards.
  • Respond to outages or system-level events/emergencies outside of business hours.
  • Ensure security and compliance in coding practices.
  • Design and develop continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Execute strategic initiatives, analyzes workflows, and implement development solutions for process improvement.
  • Manage cross-functional projects to enhance efficiency and improve member experience.
  • Create and maintain the software development roadmap.
  • Is adaptable to changes, comfortable with competing demands, and responds to unexpected events in a timely and objective manner.
  • Execute strategic initiatives, analyzes workflows, and implements development solutions for process improvement.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in building strategic work relationships, decision-making, planning, adaptability, and technical knowledge.
  • Participate in training for coding languages, tools, and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and adheres to system ownership principles.
  • Guide, mentor, and motivate teams (including junior developers) in daily tasks and development duties.
  • Provide departmental back-up coverage as needed.
  • Respond effectively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant professional certificates/experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in programming, SQL, relational databases, and software development.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell, Visual Studio Code and Linux Command Line.
  • Proficient with developer repository tools (e.g., Github, Azure DevOps, Gitlab) and 3+ years of git version control.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 years of industry experience in programming, SQL, relational databases, and software development.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Gitlab, etc.).
  • Cloud development certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP development)
  • Symitar engineering or other Financial Industry Core platform engineering experience is a plus.
