The opportunityAs a pivotal member of our nascent engineering team, you'll:
Work closely with the CEO and CTO to bring products from 0 to 1
Have the autonomy to steer key architectural decisions and institute engineering best practices.
Dive into exciting greenfield initiatives: from crafting intuitive UIs for customer facing products and internal tools to facilitate human-in-the-loop AI, to developing scalable backend systems and state-of-the-art machine learning models

Requirements:
Ownership & Drive: Take full responsibility for project deliverables, demonstrate initiative, and proactively solve challenges.
Technical Mastery: 4+ years of intense experience with backend software development: web application development, demonstrated mastery in at least a single language or framework, creating and maintaining CRUD API endpoints, working with relational databases, familiarity with Docker, Azure or GCP
Problem-Solving: Navigate engineering tradeoffs effectively, balancing speed with quality.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience in a software development role.
Familiarity with Typescript, Nodejs, Postgres, Redis, tRPC, Vercel
Experience in building search and recommendation systems
Prior roles as a tech lead and experience in the fast-paced startup environment.
Flexibility: Fully remote within the US
Competitive compensation: $120,000 - $200,000 with a generous equity package of 0.25% - 1.5%
