We seek a senior-level Software Engineer with a knack for writing performant, scalable, and maintainable application code. The primary responsibility is designing features in collaboration with internal product and engineering teams. You will be part of a talented collaborative team working on interesting technical challenges. These challenges, when solved, have a direct impact on the company's goals. The senior members of the team play a key role in various architectural efforts, leading feature design, and implementation. This role is for our Bellevue, WA office. Our team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office three days a week and remotely for the rest.

Responsibilities:Each day can be different here at Nexxen, but some of the things you can expect to be doing are:

  • Perform code implementation, testing, and delivery to production.
  • Collaborate with other teams in integration testing.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior software engineers in processes and standards.
  • Participate in application troubleshooting and support, including a rotating assignment on pager duty for production issues.
  • Prepare technical design documentation for projects.

What You'll Bring:

  • BS/MS (preferred) in Computer Science / Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Commercial development skills with 5+ years of work experience in Node.js.
  • Understanding of designing Web-based, Service-Oriented systems.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Linux, network protocols, caching systems such as Redis and Aerospike, RDBMS such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and version control systems such as git.
  • A track record of making significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to large and impactful software projects.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating Data Science models into scalable platforms.
  • Experience with PHP and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Build Management, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing (Maven, Jenkins).
  • Ad-tech knowledge.

Compensation:In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in Bellevue, WA, is $170,000 - $200,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation, this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. We offer a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, 401(k), EAP, parental leave, unlimited vacation, and company-paid holidays.
