Position Summary:

Looking for a versatile and skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the engineering efforts on our business solutions team. This role demands a proactive approach to both development and operational challenges, with a significant focus on Python, PostgreSQL, and Azure technologies. Must be located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, or willing to relocate.

Scope of Role Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python (Django) for backend and HTML/CSS/JavaScript for the frontend.
• Manage, optimize, and scale PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Implement and maintain data pipelines, handling data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features and services.
• Utilize Azure for deploying and managing servers, virtual machines, and databases.
• Work with Git and GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Participate in code reviews, contributing to high standards of code quality and reliability.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python with a solid understanding of Django framework.
• Experience with SQL and database management, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Azure environment, including management of servers, virtual machines, and databases.
• Strong experience with Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, particularly with GitHub Actions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to software development.
• Comfortable taking charge on new projects and acting as the architect for the software development life cycle.

Critical Experience & Skills:

Four-year bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with additional Python frameworks like FastAPI is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or work experience.
