hackajob has partnered with leading information services company and are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in C++ to join our dynamic team.
Role: Senior Software Engineer (C++)
Location: Boston, MA, USA, (Remote set-up)
Salary: $100k - $250k + Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture, design, development of SaaS platform analytical algorithms, solutions, and tooling
- Design algorithms for efficient use of compute and memory resources
- Enhance functional capabilities and performance of existing system
- Proactively contribute improvements to code quality, robustness, and development processes
- Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and software defects
- Analyze & solve difficult problems across the stack
- Design and write automatic test cases
- Maintain and contribute to testing, CI, and DevOps infrastructure
- Collaborate with team members
- Follow an agile development methodology
- Participate in product planning, requirements analysis, and documentation efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on C++.
- Proficiency in modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17/20) and design patterns.
- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with distributed systems or cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
- Exposure to machine learning or data processing frameworks.
