Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Software Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in DevOps tools to join our Satellite Ground Systems team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the software infrastructure required for the operation and management of satellite ground systems, with a focus on automation, deployment, and monitoring.What you will do:Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.Work with multiple engineering disciplines in an agile DevOps environment.Develop and maintain documentation for the software infrastructure, including design documents, user manuals, and system administration guides.Provide mentoring and guidance to engineers needing infrastructure assistance.Define, develop, and prototype software scripts, virtualization environments, and cloud environments.Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies.Participate in the continuous improvement of the software infrastructure by identifying and implementing enhancements and optimizations.Design and implement software infrastructure for satellite ground systems including the development of tools, applications, and frameworks needed for system operation and data processing.Provide software infrastructure expertise for bids on future development activities.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of experience.Five (5) years of experience with Information Technology Infrastructure and/or Software Engineering.Five (5) years of experience with the Linux platform.Development experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Groovy.CompTIA Security+ Certification.Active and transferable TS/SCI Full Scope Poly (FSP) U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date with the adjudication date less than three years ago from your starting date for this position.
