About the Role:

Join an innovative and fast-paced team dedicated to supporting the open-source software ecosystem that powers next-generation technologies. As a Senior Software Support Engineer, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge development and operational excellence. This role focuses on managing code and processes to ensure seamless functionality and success, offering a mix of technical expertise and leadership in supporting complex workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal development teams to resolve code-related issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of CI/CD processes and workflows to support external teams efficiently.
  • Enhance and refine tools critical to the DevOps ecosystem, ensuring continuous improvement of workflows.
  • Develop, refactor, and maintain Python scripts in an embedded Linux environment.
  • Write and migrate Jenkins jobs, transitioning tools from multi-jobs to pipeline-based workflows.
  • Leverage expertise in Gerrit, GitHub, Jenkins, and Yocto to triage and resolve code management requests.
  • Provide proactive support to the AWS System Administrator, addressing potential issues and ensuring security compliance.
  • Manage and streamline GitHub and Gerrit workflows to optimize collaboration.
  • Oversee code quality and compliance with open-source policies.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Python development and scripting with a focus on high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux environments and familiarity with embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in Git workflows, including GitHub Actions and Git Flow.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Gerrit.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with Yocto, AWS, Black Duck, and Coverity is a significant advantage.
  • A solid understanding of DevOps principles and workflows.
