In this role, you'll be instrumental in building and configuring servers, ensuring seamless service enhancements, and facilitating application rollouts and infrastructure improvements. Your responsibilities will include setting up user and service accounts, documenting systems, optimizing performance, and managing software installations and storage allocation.Your expertise will guide hardware and software upgrades, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, and introduce new services aimed at maximizing server uptime and availability. You'll play a critical role in monitoring system performance and usage, as well as contributing to our Disaster Recovery Plan, managing backups, and configuring disk arrays. Your proactive approach to system analysis and development will ensure our technology keeps pace with industry advancements.Essential Functions :Expert in Linux server architecture, adept at configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat Linux environments, with proficiency in Windows server and desktop administration.Skilled in designing and sustaining high-availability environments for mission-critical applications to ensure continuous operation and scalability.Proficient in DevOps methodologies, utilizing tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Docker, GIT, JIRA, and Confluence for automation, orchestration with Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.Strong background in network management, including routers, firewalls, VPNs, LAN setup, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.Solid Linux/Unix administration skills, with expertise in database administration for MariaDB/MySQL, specializing in clustering and multi-master configurations.Collaborative efforts with ISSOs to support audits, maintain STIG compliance, conduct risk assessments, and remediate Nessus/STIG scan findings.Proactive in resolving project issues, developing and executing strategies to mitigate risks and maintain adherence to timelines.Knowledgeable in managing load balancers, proxies, reverse proxies, and nginx web servers for efficient traffic management.Proficient in scripting and coding with Bash and Ruby to automate tasks and improve system processes.Responsible for implementing security patches, conducting system scans, remediating findings, and participating in audits to ensure system integrity.Committed to supporting critical operations during standard hours and providing flexible support as needed outside standard hours.Travel up to 10%.Work is 100% on-site and cannot be accomplished remotely.Qualifications :Education:Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, orGraduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, orIn lieu of a degree, minimum 13 years of prior related experience.Secret security clearanceDOD 8570.01M IAT 3 certification.Preferred Additional Skills:Top Secret/SCI security clearance with CI PolygraphExtensive experience in hardware/software requirement verification and system validation, ensuring performance and reliability through rigorous testing protocols.Advanced knowledge of VPN technologies, including OpenVPN and IPSec, with experience deploying secure remote access solutions in distributed networks.Demonstrated cloud administration expertise, managing infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.Skilled in scripting and automation, particularly with Ansible, Bash, and Ruby, to enhance system management and efficiency.Experience managing A64 RAID Arrays for optimal storage and data integrity.Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools and maintaining cybersecurity configurations based on DISA STIGs and IAVM Notices.Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment.Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers.L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
