Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will manage financial reporting and general ledger functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles. You'll oversee all accounting tasks, including account reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, and accounts receivable/payable. Your role will involve assisting with monthly accruals, financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and variance analysis. Additionally, you will identify discrepancies, prepare key financial reports, oversee sales and use tax filings, and support the CPA with state and federal returns. You'll also assist with external audits and conduct necessary accounting research to enhance our financial processes. needed.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance; 1-3 years in a leadership role preferred.
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (focus on accounting); CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
* Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines, resolve issues, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills for presenting financial information to diverse audiences.
