Responsibilities:
- Monitors, escalates, and re-mediate NAS & SAN device/application {access, performance, events} alerts to identify/ potential incidents
- Provide storage provisioning for NAS/SAN systems
- Providing level three DAS, SAN, NAS Configuring and administering support and expertise as it relates to the storage environment as needed
- Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade Network Attached Storage (NAS) environment
- Experienced in Storage Array/NAS Performance Tuning
- Provides technical support in storage system architect, design, integration, and system engineering process
- Advanced ability to manage customer Enterprise Storage Systems operations and projects with no supervision and coordinate the activities of other team members
- Develop an understanding of project engagement processes (Service Readiness) and partner with project teams on Conditions of Satisfaction deliverables including support documentation
Qualifications:
- Has Enterprise Storage Systems and Storage Area Network [SAN] Architecture and Engineering experience. {e.g. {NetApp, DELL PowerMax, CISCO} Direct Attached, Network Attached, Storage Area Network, Software Defined, Cloud, etc.)
- To include knowledge with Fiber Channel Protocol, Internet Small Computer System Interface, Fiber Channel over Ethernet, Fiber Connection
- Prior experience working as a Storage Administrator or in a similar role
- Experience managing storage for data centers and cloud-based networks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with storage hardware and software, including EMC, NetApp, and HP
- Strong understanding of storage protocols, such as NFS, CIFS, and iSCSI
- Work well as part of a team and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related scientific / Technical discipline and 10+ years of work experience
- Ten (10) Years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (20 Years Total)
