Client & Service Expert:

  • Oversee the development of clientele by leading by example in the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Development of business driving initiatives that build repeat business or attract new customers.
  • Ensure each associate is actively utilizing their client book to generate increased sales.
  • Ensure team compliance with all clientele standards and thank you note policy.
  • Ensure all associates complete the sales training program.
  • Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales training processes.

Leadership Presence/Steward of Talent:

  • Achieve financial success through improvement of measurable statistics that positively impact store performance.
  • Hire, train, and motivate a qualified sales team.
  • Provide specific development for the assistant manager and supervisor.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations with quarterly reviews of employee goals.
  • Network and create positive relationships in the community that result in business generation.
  • Attend, on average, two annual company management meetings.

Building Brand Equity:

  • Understand and communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic and philosophy.
  • Ensure visual merchandising directives are implemented efficiently.
  • Analyze and react to business trends regarding assortment.
  • Communicate customer feedback and quality issues to improve customer service and sales.

Operational Excellence:

  • Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures.
  • Conduct regular store meetings to ensure accurate communication with employees.
  • Maintain payroll budget and weekly hours to ensure appropriate sales floor coverage.
  • Supervise operational responsibilities to ensure timely processing of markdowns and inventory.
  • Oversee loss prevention policies to ensure compliance.

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze selling reports and identify business trends.
  • Comfort in making decisions and mediating conflict.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

An outstanding professional will have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in luxury goods or a comparable retail environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Physical requirements:

  • Available to work store schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.
