Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.HDR is hiring an experienced Senior Stormwater/Water/Wastewater Pump Station Lead to work as a member of one of our growing offices in the East region.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for the development and production of pump system analysis and design packages, including, but not limited to system head curves, pump intake design, pump station layout and design, pumping equipment specification, and confirm the designs comply with current design standardsEvaluate existing pump system operation and condition and provide recommendation on rehabilitation and replacement of pumps and ancillary systemsSupport development of strategic opportunities within the WBGMentor and develop staff that are involved in pump system designSupport our Pump Station Practice Lead and Business Class director in providing technical direction and oversight of pump system projects across HDRPerform project and task management for system analysis and design projects for public clients as well private development clientsMentor civil and mechanical engineers that are involved in pump system designParticipate in business development, including client interaction, proposal development, and participation in professional societiesHave growth potential for supervisory and oversight of pump system design staff. Perform other duties as neededKeywords: Pump Station, Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Water Resources, Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Construction, Project Manager, Program Manager, Flood Protection, Drinking Water, Treatment, Conveyance QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplineMinimum of 10 years' of experience in the design and assessment of pump system projectsPE License Strong technical background in pump hydraulics engineering, pump intake design, pumping equipment design, pump system design, and pump operation.Experience with design codes such as HI, ANSI and AWWA.Ability to work with and support cross functional project teams.Excellent communication skills and working as a team player.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree is desirable20+ years of relevant experience is preferredExperience with CFD and physical modeling.Experience in large scale pump station condition assessment, design and rehabilitation Robust interpersonal skills and professional demeanor appropriate for interacting with clients, other design professionals and colleaguesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
