The compensation range for this position is $4612.00 bi-weekly ($119,912.00 annualized). The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus. Eligibility requirements apply.What you will lead & improve1. You will purchase components, materials, and services to make sure that the manufacturing department can build following the schedule.2. You will make sure that the cost of the materials/services purchased does not exceed the budget assigned at the beginning of the project.3. You will make sure that the quality requirements of the materials/services purchased are consistent with the project's requirements specified in the Quality Plan.4. You will work with external vendors to make sure that the sourcing process is efficient, cost-effective and of the highest quality.5. You will engage with your vendors to make sure their manufacturing processes focus on quality and efficiency. If necessary, you will visit the vendor to verify their progress.6. You will communicate with all necessary team members, so they are aware of the technical or process issues of the materials and services that are critical to meeting order delivery schedules.What you already know1. Your technical degree and/or equivalent experience provides you with an in-depth understanding of major components' prices, lead times and manufacturing technologies.2. You have experience purchasing materials in a manufacturing environment.3. You can identify when the feedback you are receiving from a vendor doesn't align with the known reality of their manufacturing process.4. You work well with many tasks on your to do list.5. You are bothered when things are over budget.How Success is measured1. The actual cost vs. budget of the components/services is the first measure of success.2. The quality of the goods or services delivered is the second measure of success.3. The quality of the relationships with the vendors is the third measure for each project.What you will learn (if you don't know already)1. SAP, Enovia, Wiki, SharePoint, Jagger2. Atlas Copco/GAP procedures, including vendor business code of practice rules.About the Team:You will report directly to the Sourcing Manager of a 10-person team.
