Summary:

The role will be a key contributor to our global strategy and M&A team. Support the creation and execution of ITTs long term strategic vision with a focus on market data analytics. This role is responsible for creating tools and managing large data sets from internal and external market data, to create actional insights for our strategic planning process and support our product / business development teams. Additional responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of key internal strategic initiatives and business cases. This role will also be involved in mergers and acquisitions by supporting valuations with market assessments, building the strategic rationale and supporting due diligence activities on active deals.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Market Data Analytics: Develop digital tools and processes for analysis of internal market and product data. Extract and manage large data sets. Create quarterly market analysis reports utilizing external market research and internal data to develop actional insights for our market and product teams. Provide market assumptions and support to product managers for business cases. Perform internal analysis of sales quotation funnels, market opportunities and orders / sales trends.
  • Strategic Planning: Analyze and research industry trends, market conditions, customers, and competitors to identify threats and opportunities. Understand and shape the companys strategy and mission. Provide underlying market analyses to build market sizes (SAMs and TAMs) and growth rates for core markets, products and strategic initiatives. Analyze market data and translate findings into meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations. Create business plans for key strategic initiatives, including market attractiveness analyses.
  • Strategic Plan Communication: Support annual strategic planning process for recommendations to ITT Leadership and Board of Directors to support effective decision-making. Internally communicate strategic direction and priorities to all internal stakeholders.
  • M&A / Business Development: Create market analysis for targets and support development of valuation models. Prepare strategic presentations for senior leadership to evaluate potential deals. Support due diligence efforts for active M&A transactions.
Position Requirements:

Education: BS in Marketing, Business or Engineering Experience:

2-4 years of work experience in marketing, strategy or consulting

Strong working with databases and implementing new business intelligence dashboards, digital tools, and analytics

Professional experience in using one or more of the following analytical tools (Power BI, SAS, SQL, R, or Python) will be a plus

Demonstrated market research capabilities and analysis, including sizing market opportunities (total available market vs service available market)

Apply analytical skills to extract and manipulate large data sets

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to simplify complex information for decision making

Strategic mindset with experience in market sizing and analysis

Self-motivated / directed, and can easily function in a high-demand, high-performance culture

Ability to work cross-functionally to support key internal stakeholders in supporting analysis

The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.Equal Pay Act Range:Annual Salary range between $90,000 - $140,600 includes benefits and incentive plans.
