Who we are looking for: VML is seeking a Senior Strategist, Advanced Analytics to lead analytics-based strategic insights and direction to aid in the development of communications initiatives for clients. Working closely with the Account Management, Creative, Strategy, and Media teams, this position provides both and internal and client facing consultative perspective on analytical tools, measurement, and testing. What you'll do: Primary consultant to account teams (agency and client) on campaign planning and campaign effectiveness. Lead the development of analytical plans and strategies to improve the effectiveness of communications programs Function as the subject matter expert for analytical tools and techniques Research innovative and cutting-edge techniques and methodologies Partner with senior analytics team in the delivery and integration of conclusions and/or recommendations and actionable insights, including completing complex analysis and creating compelling visualizations for data Specific job functions include partnering with analytics team members to: Define key metrics and set goals Recommend and design appropriate analytical methodologies based on business questions Complete data transformation, extraction, loading; merge formats Support the analysis and interpretation of media performance Lead advanced modeling and ROI/sales attribution analysis of shopper and media campaigns Visualize data and measurement outputs through PowerPoint presentations and customized Tableau dashboards Review the work of junior team members and provide feedback and recommendations Who you are: Critical thinking: drawing conclusions, find creative solutions, structured problem-solving approach Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to non-quantitative audience Ability to build relationships across team, departments, vendors and clients Exceptional oral and written communications skills Ability to effectively manage timelines and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in quantitative field; Advanced degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Social Science Research, Economics, etc. preferred Minimum of 4-6 years of experience performing analytics initiatives Strong analytical skills and experience designing analytical solutions to address business problems Proficient knowledge of advanced Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python, R Strong reporting background demonstrated by the ability to report from various tools conception to delivery (Excel/VBA, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.) and explain what the data is proving or not proving Advanced analytics capabilities in data mining, statistical methodologies / building linear and logarithmic regression models, database management The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
