Senior Street Maintenance Worker

Under the moderate supervision of the Street Maintenance Supervisor, perform semi-skilled work installing, repairing, and maintaining streets, sidewalks, curbs, drainage ways, and related facilities, operating various motorized equipment and related work as apparent or assigned.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Patches, repairs, and maintains streets; shovels asphalt to fill in pot holes; rebuilds road shoulders; digs ditches; rebuilds driving aprons.
* Installs, repairs and maintains storm drain facilities, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters; pours and finishes concrete; builds and sets forms; checks storm drains and cleans catch basins.
* Operates dump truck, boom truck, rubber tire loader, sweeper, backhoe, and a variety of hand tools in performance of maintenance and construction tasks; performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
* Maintains right-of-ways; clears debris; mows grass; picks up litter.
* Participates in clean-up activities at the conclusion of a project.
* Provides traffic control by flagging and/or placement of warning/control devices when required.
Qualifications:
* Moderate experience in street maintenance, including the operation of motorized equipment.
* Valid State Driver's License - CDL Class A or B required.
* Possession of or ability to obtain Flagger Certification within one year of hire.
* Required pre-employment screenings include a criminal background check, motor vehicle history, and drug screening.
