Job DescriptionA multi-discipline engineering service provider in New York is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. This role is great for someone with the right background with the opportunity to move into a department manager role. This firm works hard to ensure that their projects are planned, designed and managed to meet not only high expectations, but to exceed their clients' goals. As their team continues to grow, they are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join their team.Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis from an NCEES accredited university program
  • Licensed Structural Engineer or Professional Engineer
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Experience in structural systems, design of industrial steel buildings, masonry structures, pipe racks/pipe bridges, shallow/deep foundations, and construction practices
  • Advanced knowledge of STAAD-Pro, Tedds
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Position Details:
  • Develop calculations for safe, economical, and prudent solution of structural design of structures.
  • Provide high level of discipline and department technical expertise associated with project work.
  • Schedule, organize, direct and review structural department activites.
  • Review/check engineering designs, drawings and other projects documents related to structural department.
  • Certify designs and drawings as required
  • Maintain and upgrade standards and procedures for structural department
  • Function as Project Manager, Project Leader or Senior Engineer on specific projects as needed.
  • Interact with other department managers, clients, and contractors.
Senior Structural Engineer Compensation: (Not limited to)
    • $125-145k base compensation (Negotiable depending upon experience and technical skill set)
