Role: Senior SuperintendentLocation: Boston, MACompensation: $140,000 - $180,000 (benefits, annual bonus, car allowance, and more)POSITION SUMMARY:We are seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead the on site operations of a brand new museum that is being built in downtown Boston. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex, high-profile construction projects, with a particular focus on ground up builds. Having four decades of industry experience, we require all of our employees to have a hands-on leadership approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep commitment to quality and safety of the job site.DUTIES AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directall phases of site operations, from initial setup through project completion
  • Guide, support, and oversee a diverse team, fostering professional growth and collaboration
  • Develop and implement effective site logistics strategies to optimize project flow
  • Interpret construction documents, plans, and ensure timely material procurement
  • Coordinate project timelines and manage budgets, proactively controlling costs
  • Identify potential challenges early and present effective solutions to keep the project on track
  • Enforce site safety protocols, oversee quality management, and coordinate workforce scheduling to meet project goals
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and accomplishments to all relevant parties
  • Bring effective communication skills, a constructive outlook, and a Get Stuff Done attitude to every task
  • Perform other tasks as needed
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
  • 5+ years of construction supervision experience, ideally with a focus on ground up builds
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding construction documents, and using project management software. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality control processes
  • Proven ability to lead a diverse team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing on-site safety programs, preferably with OCIP or CCIP insurance programs
