Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Superintendent to lead and oversee field operations for large-scale commercial construction projects. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence while fostering a collaborative environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills to deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:
    • Oversee all field operations, from initial mobilization through project completion and closeout.
    • Lead daily coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact on-site, addressing issues and making decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Schedule and Planning:
    • Develop, monitor, and adjust construction schedules to meet deadlines and milestones.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and avoid delays.
    • Conduct daily and weekly site meetings to review progress and address challenges.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure all work meets quality standards, specifications, and contract requirements.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
    • Identify and resolve construction issues promptly to avoid rework and delays.
  • Safety Oversight:
    • Enforce strict adherence to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
    • Conduct daily safety briefings and site inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Investigate and report safety incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage manpower, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
    • Monitor and report on resource utilization and project performance.
    • Assist in identifying and procuring necessary materials and equipment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
    • Communicate project updates and field conditions clearly and effectively.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, site conditions, and project progress.
    • Provide regular progress reports to the project manager and senior leadership.
    • Assist in reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices and change orders.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in commercial construction, with 5+ years in a superintendent role.
    • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex construction projects.
    • Deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
    • Strong understanding of scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and project management software (e.g., Procore).
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with LEED-certified or sustainable construction projects.
    • Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant credentials
