Henniges Automotive is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at the Corporate office located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer develops, plans, directs, monitors, and drives continuous improvement and corrective action activities related to product and process development at high risk or key suppliers.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Attend meetings or on-site reviews with suppliers supporting Henniges product and process development systems and customer requirements.
- Build a working relationship of integrity and trust with the supplier and clear lines of communication to Henniges plants, engineering, and purchasing functions.
- Keep organized and updated open issues lists of non-resolved or potential problems based on product and process reviews and audits.
- Lead (supplier development) or monitor root cause analysis of product or process failures through SPC or other data analysis methods.
- Evaluate and approve gauge designs and dimensional schemes for product and process control. Evaluation includes Gauge R&R to AIAG requirements.
- Write clear and detailed reports for management review.
- Perform on-site quality system and supplier audits in support of purchasing selecting new suppliers.
- Review, evaluate, and identify process variation or poor manufacturing concepts and /or execution for corrective action through supplier on-site visits. Implement required action or containment.
- Create and maintain all required documents per Henniges's quality management system.
- Maintain a professional relationship and appearance within different countries and cultures.
- Performs other such duties as required.
- Up to 50% North America travel, US & Canada as main countries.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States indefinitely.

Education
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
- VDA 6.3 – Certified Process Auditor, IATF 16949:2016 Lead Supplier Auditor, Automotive Core Tools
- Preferred: Certified Quality Engineer
Experience
Minimum: Knowledge and skills typically acquired through 8 plus years' of experience in quality with a supply base interface.
Preferred: Previous plant engineering, production, or quality experience. Working with vehicle sealing products and materials.

- Proficiency in the following software applications: Microsoft Office, sufficient to apply and /or support the application with minimal instruction or guidance.
