My Client, a leading provider for the DoD, is currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join their team in the Sacramento, CA area.
The Senior Supply Chain Manager will provide strategic leadership across multiple teams including Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, and theProgram Management Office to enhance supplier performance. The ideal candidate will be an experienced supply chain management professional responsible for managing key supplier relationships to ensure timely product delivery and leading initiatives to optimise procurement practices, subcontract management, and supplier performance. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Senior Manager of Operations and lead the execution of the Supply Chain strategy.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships and mitigate risks in line with current and future business needs.
- Implement processes, standards, and plans to support procurement goals, including RFQs, negotiations (subcontracts/POs), proposals, and cost management.
- Collaborate with Contracts, Supplier Quality, Finance, and the Program Management Office to ensure operational excellence and achievement of business objectives.
- Provide updates to leadership and the program team on supplier metrics and project status.
- Lead initiatives to improve procurement practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the supply chain lead for internal and external audits related to supply chain policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with experience in Aerospace/Defense in a supervisory/management role.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, vendor management, materials management, and risk assessment/mitigation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong focus on customer service.
- Experience leading complex supply chain activities including RFX development, supplier qualification and management, and contract negotiation.
