Role Overview:

Innovation and making the future today is a part of the everyday life and way at Samsung HVAC. As the Senior Manager, Supply Chain you will be responsible for driving the multichannel quarterly/annual financial strategy based on detailed knowledge of business insights and analytics, market trends, and demographic profiles across all regions. You will evaluate the assortment and react to in-season performance/trends/takeaways to advise & adjust future procurement and inventory position through a comprehensive understanding and interpretation of all financial key performance indicators.

Supply Chain Operations manages and ensures product availability to meet forecasted demand. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Sales Teams, Marketing Teams, and with the Operations Teams and tracked using spreadsheets, and various Samsung Systems and Tools. This role handles managing a wide range of products related to the HVAC industry and will collaborate closely with the other parties at Samsung Lennox HVAC to ensure efficient and economical strategies. This role will also support strategic projects on behalf of the entire Supply Chain team, generate reports for Executive Management, and represent the SCM Team when working with internal/external customers. This role will also be the primary point of contact for all supply related matters and will involve analysis of current spend and evaluate current suppliers, consolidation of spend across supply base to create leverage, analysis of purchasing trends, development of sourcing alternatives, and will identify new high potential suppliers on a global basis.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Forecast and order products and parts based on feedback from the sales, account rep. and warranty teams, and customers to ensure that the right product is in the warehouse at any given time
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
  • Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implement subsequent changes to processes
  • Process invoices specific to shipping and logistics and manage inventory returns and damaged goods
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments
  • Identify shipment and transportation routes within North America with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution
  • Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company
  • Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related business field and at least 10+ years in a similar Supply Chain management role overseeing Demand Planning
  • A minimum of 5+ years of supply chain Experience in a Foreign Trade Zone (Tariff work included) required (candidates without this experience will not be considered)
  • HVAC industry experience a plus
  • Advanced leadership skills to manage a team of 3
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to comfortably present to and promote consensus-building with Senior Management level
  • Previous experience in a performance driven multi-cultural business environment where project management and time management skills were critical to driving results
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and computer skill aptitude
  • Power BI skills preferred but not required
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Travel up to 10% domestic or international as needed
