Job Description:

Our team is growing, and we currently have an immediate opening for a Senior System Administrator Location: Cleveland, Ohio Reports to: Director of IT Job Description: A Senior System Administrator will be responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining enterprise Active Directory, Online Exchange, and cloud solutions using Office 365 and Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Azure Single Sign-On integrations, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, and other O365 workloads. They will also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex issues. The Senior System Administrator will play a key role in designing infrastructure solutions, integrating new technologies, and improving the current IT infrastructure. This position requires a solid understanding of cloud, network, application, and hardware security and experience with varied systems. The candidate must also possess excellent communication skills and be able to train and educate our employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other O365 workloads
  • Manage and maintain AD, GPO, Intune, and Microsoft Security Stack
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related issues and incidents
  • Assist in other IT areas, especially with Help Desk overflow
  • Monitor system performance, IT system operations, and storage utilization using Nagios.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data
  • Automate various tasks and generate custom reports via PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
  • Perform capacity planning and analysis of infrastructure systems
  • Analyze complex cross-functional and cross-platform issues
  • Design, develop, and test complex infrastructure solutions to support distributed scalable and highly available applications
  • Utilize system and email security solutions utilizing MS Defender and Proofpoint
  • Support Multi-Factor Authentication via Azure AD MFA
  • Collaborate with management to improve security
  • Implement disaster recovery measures
  • Analyze previous incidents and create an incident response plan
  • Linux - administration and CLI
  • Remote and virtual access implementation
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field
  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, MS Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Windows platforms (preferred)
  • MAC/iOS knowledge a bonus
  • Possess Microsoft Azure Certification
  • Exceptional understanding of scripting and source code programming languages, such as Python, PHP, and/or PowerShell
  • Extensive Knowledge of physical and information security and encryption
  • A keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a highly analytical mindset, with superb problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in a collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions/Equipment Used:
  • Fine motor skills and manual dexterity to handle IT hardware and equipment
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Offices reachable by elevator but should be able to climb stars in case elevator is out of service.
  • Heavier lifting may be required (up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to tolerate general office and HVAC noise
  • Ability to operate a computer and other technology-related lab equipment through the course of the day
  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, biohazards, etc.
  • Candidate must have ability to maintain punctual daily attendance and ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
