We are seeking a Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP) with previous experience working in the Managed IT industry.As a Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP), you'll be a key member of our technical team, responsible for managing and enhancing the IT infrastructure of our diverse client base. Your role involves providing high-level technical expertise, designing robust systems, and implementing cutting-edge solutions. You'll collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, develop strategic IT roadmaps, and ensure seamless technology operations.Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP) Responsibilities:Lead Azure migration projects end-to-end for a variety of clients, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support.Responsible for designing, implementing, and configuring new network infrastructures from the ground up, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalabilityFollow technical best practices and provide subject matter expertise for project and support engagements.Act as a technical escalation point for junior engineers and project managers.Collaborate with colleagues on technical projects and initiatives.Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP) Requirements:Previous experience working for a Managed Services ProviderStrong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.Strong experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V)Strong experience with M365 administration and migrationsProfessional experience with Azure migrations, specifically moving on-premises workloads to AzureExperience with standard network infrastructure installations and upgrades (VPN, routers, firewalls, switches, WAPs)Strong expertise in Layer 2/3 network protocols (VLAN, switching, routing, NAT) and hands-on experience with HP/Cisco switches, SonicWall firewalls (TZ/NSA), and site-to-site VPN tunnels.Experience with security hardening (anti-virus, email filtering, dual-factor authentication, secure remote access)Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP) Salary + Benefits:$130,000 – $140,000Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance3 weeks of PTO not including sick days and paid holidaysPrimarily WFH (in office only required a few times per month)401(k) with 3% matchCertification reimbursementAnnual reviews with clear performance goals for promotions#MH999LocationChicago, ILSalary$120,000 - $140,000About the CompanyBowman Williams is a national specialized staffing firm for Cloud Service Providers and Managed Service Providers.
