Hybrid Role: 3 days on site and 2 days remote. New York , NY

Senior Systems/Business Analyst

About the Role:

As a Senior Systems/Business Analyst, youll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Youll be responsible for understanding and documenting user requirements to ensure that our systems effectively meet their needs. Your expertise in problem identification, analysis, and solution development will be instrumental in driving successful system integration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of integration requirements, including data formats, exchange frequency, and system dependencies.
  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive integration architectures that seamlessly connect PeopleSoft (PeopleSoft HCM&PeopleSoft Pension Administration), Origami Risk, and third-party Risk Management Information/Claims Management Systems.
  • System Configuration: Configure integration middleware or tools to establish effective communication channels between systems.
  • Data Mapping and Transformation: Define and implement data mappings and transformation rules to ensure data consistency across systems.
  • API Development: Develop custom APIs or leverage existing ones for real-time data exchange.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure integration solutions meet performance and accuracy standards.
  • Deployment and Support: Coordinate deployment activities and provide ongoing support to minimize disruptions and maximize user adoption.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring tools and procedures to ensure integration performance and address maintenance tasks proactively.
  • Documentation and Training: Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps, and provide training to internal teams.
  • Project Management Support: Assist the Legal, Safety, and Risk IT group with project management for Origami Risk, TPA programs, and claims management tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Systems/Business Analyst
  • Proven track record in user problem identification, assessment, and solution development
  • Strong understanding of system design, development, and implementation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation abilities
  • Experience with project planning and management
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM, Origami Risk, and Risk Management Information/Claims Management Systems (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mass Transit; Subway; Railroad industry experience.
