Senior Systems Architect - ServiceNow*Will facilitate relocation to any of 5 potential locationsThe role of Senior System Architect entails crafting innovative ServiceNow solutions tailored to meet the dynamic and evolving needs of the enterprise, particularly focusing on IT Service Management (ITSM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM). We seek an enthusiastic individual proficient in ServiceNow to contribute to the advancement of our ITSM architecture and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ServiceNow platforms and adeptly apply industry best practices to our suite of application architectures, technologies, and tools, while also providing thought leadership within the organization. This role serves as a pivotal subject matter expert in the ServiceNow domain, influencing roadmap development, and fostering minimal-guidance, positive-attitude, and mentorship-oriented teamwork.
This position belongs to a job family with multiple tiers, and the successful candidate will be assigned a level commensurate with their experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the design of governance and standards activities for technology architecture compliance, participate in hardware and software technology and product standards selection, engage in system architect reviews, and ensure architecture adherence. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of system architecture with business objectives, identifying organizational and financial impacts of technology architecture. • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for systems, assessing technology industry and market trends and advising on technology investment decisions. • Translate business and technical requirements into system designs, implementing end-to-end system architectures that meet business needs. • Define system integration approaches, ensuring interoperability of system components, providing guidance and support to development teams during implementation, and leading technology change initiatives. • Document and communicate technology architecture design and analysis work, leading the development of system architecture documentation and diagrams.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred, related field, or equivalent experience. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant architecture experience required. • At least 4 years of experience in ServiceNow platform architecture, support, and service delivery preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of ServiceNow platform integration design and support experience preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience with CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Configuration Management, and Asset Management modules preferred. • Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Portfolio Management modules preferred. • Proficient understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Release Management processes preferred. • Experience collaborating with suppliers, service providers, business-facing IT, and clients to deliver solutions preferred.
Skills:
• Proficiency in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman Framework to structure and organize architectural artifacts and processes. • Knowledge of cloud computing to manage cloud services, develop cloud applications, and fulfill customer needs. • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, and agile methodologies to facilitate efficient and collaborative software development and deployment. • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for managing and provisioning infrastructure through code. • Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) concepts and protocols, and experience designing architectures incorporating IoT devices. • Ability to measure and scale system performance in real-time to identify and address issues. • Strong technical expertise in networking, databases, cloud computing, and security relevant to the organization's architecture.#INAPR2024#LI-JC1
