Job Description:

Our national multi-family management company seeks an experienced Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist with a Whatever it Takes attitude, and a strong Human Resources background located in the Houston, TX market.

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will facilitate effective staffing for the company by working closely with hiring managers to assess their needs. Responsible for implementation of all recruitment activities and programs including; sourcing, recruiting, hiring, background screenings and onboarding candidates for the company. Maintain the Applicant Tracking System by monitoring candidates through the recruitment workflow and build a strong employment brand ensuring our presence is known in all markets.

REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

SUPERVISES: Talent Acquisition Specialist

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING

DEGREES AND DIPLOMAS

College Degree in Business Management preferred.

TRAINING/CERTIFICATES/ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIPS

Professional Human Resources or position specific designation preferred.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/EQUIPMENT

• Proven Human Resources and recruiting experience.

• Possess industry-specific knowledge.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, be a self-starter and have comfort with fast paced environment.

• Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing and have the ability to understand departmental operations and procedures.

• Must use good judgment, demonstrate initiative and take pride in accuracy.

• Ability to interact professionally with all applicants and employees.

• Proficiency in using property management software(s) used by the Company, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) in order to complete required reports and employment documents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Develop and implement recruitment strategies, using a variety of advanced sourcing techniques to identify and attract the very best talent to fill roles at AOG.

2. Responsible for full cycle recruitment of corporate positions, including job postings, screening applications, scheduling interviews and selecting qualified candidates.

3. Interface with department heads to identify job openings, prepare job descriptions & requirements, and find qualified candidates for vacant positions. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and recommend market rates and incentives.

4. Submit online investigation requests and completely new employee background check reviews. Communicate with hiring managers regarding candidates' pre-employment background screening and drug screen results and follow-up on screening delays.

5. Maintain the Applicant Tracking System and train hiring managers on the utilization of the Applicant Tracking System to move candidates effectively through the onboarding workflow and hiring process.

6. Expand the company's online presence on different third-party sites e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, Apartment Associations, ZipRecruiter etc., develop creative ways to draw prospective employees to the company's website and identify new recruitment opportunities through social media. Ensure AOG Career page and other utilized job boards are accurate and up to date with the latest available job postings.

7. Analyze talent acquisition data, compile reports and make corresponding recommendations.

8. Assist with takeovers and Onboarding.

9. Research industry trends, market information, competitor news, and share findings with stakeholders.

10. Identify markets that would benefit from hosting job fairs, plan and organize job fairs and hiring events.

11. Build AOG's employment brand and develop an employer brand content strategy.

12. Manage agency and vendor relationships for talent acquisition.

13. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
