Our client is a CPA firm with over 45 years experience, offering the traditional accounting services of auditing, reviews, and compilations as well as income tax planning, tax preparation and management advisory services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts, exempt organizations, and emerging businesses. We are now looking for a Senior Manager to join their busy, growing, and successful Tax team.
Senior Manager Tax
New York hybrid role.
$125-175K plus excellent benefits package
To be successful in this role:
You will be a confident Senior Manager, with 5 to 10 years of tax preparation experience in private companies, high net-worth individuals or trusts within a CPA firm. Other requirements for this role include:
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Accounting required, CPA is a plus
Ability to manage client workload and team members on various projects and deadlines
Experience with tax preparation software (prior experience with Thomson Reuters CS products)
Ability to manage process flow, think analytically, manage multiple clients/projects and deadlines, and work overtime when necessary
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment where you can work both autonomously and, in a team-oriented setting
Have strong communication, interpersonal, computer, and Excel skills
Strong attention to detail as well as the ability to collaborate and deliver.
Job role and responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for completing complex returns and assist in maintaining the firm s strong client relationships. Other responsibilities for this role include:
Prepare and review corporate, partnership, estate, and individual tax returns
Prepare multistate income allocations for businesses and individuals
Assist clients with tax planning and strategies
Conduct tax research to maintain compliance and minimize tax exposure
