We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Senior Manager to join our Financial Services Tax team located in our New York City Office.Salary Range$145,000~$245,000 / AnnuallyYOUR TEAM.As part of the Financial Services Group, you'll work with some of the nation's leading private equity, hedge, and other alternative investment funds. You'll gain valuable knowledge of the capital markets ecosystem and use it to deliver the comprehensive transaction, fund, and portfolio company audit, tax, and value creation solutions. As a result of the unique organizational structure of most private investment funds, you'll collaborate with other industry and service line team members to deliver outstanding technical and client service. Located in almost every financial center across the United States-New York, Connecticut, California, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Miami, and moreour clients deploy billions of dollars of capital and expect situation-tested expertise, industry knowledge, access to market intelligence and timely response to questions and requests.YOUR ROLE.Responsibilities include but not limited to:- Research tax issues and filing requirements that affect taxcompliance.- Review tax returns (1065 & 1120) and ensure accuracy andcompleteness.- Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasuryregulations and other relevant authorities/guidance.- Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, takingresponsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and finaldeliverable development.- Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagementsthrough identification of current client needs and target clientrequirements.- Provide regular performance feedback as well as deliver timelyperformance evaluations.- Develop subordinates' technical and industry skills and encouragegrowth.- Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, andindependent thinking.QualificationsYOUR EXPERIENCE. The successful candidate will have:- Bachelor's Degree required, master's in accounting/taxationpreferred- CPA, JD or EA preferred- Minimum 6 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm- 2+ years of supervisory experience- Financial Services Industry experience required (Hedge Fund and/orPrivate Equity)- Exceptional client service and communication skills with ademonstrated the ability to develop and maintain outstanding clientrelationships- Strong tax research and writing skills- Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word,PowerPoint, Outlook- Preferred competence with tax compliance and research software toinclude GoSystems, CCH Axcess, CCH, RIA- Solid project management and organizational skills with ademonstrated the ability to multi-task.Department Legal Locations New York
