Our client, a leading Contemporary Women s brand, is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Design and Production teams to ensure effective communication with all factories.
- Prioritize daily and seasonal workload based on fabric/garment delivery, meeting weekly and seasonal deadlines.
- Attend initial Design handoffs for new products, complete proto specs, and update Product for SMS launch.
- Interface with overseas factories to convey fit and construction corrections.
- Spec & prep garments prior to fitting, and take on additional projects as needed.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of Technical Design Experience in a SKU intensive environment.
- 6+ years of experience in soft dressing technical design and pattern making.
- Experience in Women's RTW ; Sportswear & Dresses a plus
- Strong knowledge of pattern making, grading, garment construction, sewing, technical drawing, measuring, and fitting.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office & G-Suite.
- Strong sense of urgency, expert time management skills, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in RLM system and print design is preferred.
Salary: $85,000-$115,000 Commensurate with experience
