T&M Associates is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to expand our national Environmental Practice within the Northeast market. This individual will play a key role in growing our business, focusing on environmental remediation services, and will be a seller-doer with expertise in a broad range of environmental services. The ideal candidate will possess strong client management, project management, and remediation experience, and will have the ability to drive business development and execute technical work. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based out of either Middletown, Mt. Laurel or Bloomfield, NJ, combining remote work with in-office collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth and expansion of the Environmental Practice in the Northeast, collaborating with multiple operations nationally and developing a robust portfolio of clients in the private, industrial, federal, state, and local sectors.
- Manage and execute environmental remediation projects, providing support to Project Managers, Engineers, and Scientists in the planning, design, and implementation phases.
- Develop and execute an annual business plan focused on practice growth, service expansion, revenue increase, and strategic opportunity capture.
- Leverage existing relationships with former clients and create new business opportunities to build a strong backlog for the practice.
- Lead the preparation of technical and cost proposals, evaluating risks and ensuring cost competitiveness for project pursuits.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, offering career development opportunities and managing the recruitment and retention of a diverse, skilled team.
- Mentor and guide mid-level and junior staff, delegating tasks and providing support for their professional growth.
- Ensure high-quality standards by implementing quality assurance and quality control processes, evaluating business risks, and offering alternatives when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field from an ABET-accredited university. A PE or PG license is preferred.
- 10-20 years of environmental experience, with a focus on field investigations, remediation systems, soil and groundwater treatment, waste management, and long-term operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental consulting, particularly in the Northeast, with established relationships in the region.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, and state-led programs.
- Strong business development skills, with the ability to build and transition client relationships.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and design standards.
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment with excellent organizational skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and OSHA physical.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business development and collaboration across office locations.
