About The Role As a Senior Technology Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our Seaport Entertainment Group's technology application environment. You will collaborate with and support a small group of business partners, technology professionals, contractors, and vendors, ensuring the successful implementation and support of all Seaport's applications, procedures, policies, and software strategies. Your expertise will drive efficiency, innovation, and alignment with the overall business goals that are unique to the hospitality and entertainment industries. What You Will Do
  • Provide direct technical support for the company's technology infrastructure environment, which includes both local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), as well as internet connectivity, network security, and the management of network hardware and system software.
  • Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of network and system infrastructure, including hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and system hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices.
  • Ensuring the security and reliability of the network, including implementing security measures and monitoring network performance.
  • Engage with the business to understand their needs and identify new functionality, develop compelling business cases, prioritize projects, and develop plans that maximize return on investment for the Company.
  • Develop and lead a collaborative infrastructure program management approach that improves velocity, while maintaining a strong focus on both quality and scalability
  • Foster a strong client service mind-set throughout the technology services model, while championing thought leadership and partnership with the business
  • Partner with business leaders to create robust solution roadmaps that are integrated with technology architecture and operations.
  • Identify emerging technology trends and ensure the Company is leveraging them when appropriate to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and drive value.
  • Ensure that all strategic initiatives are well managed and delivered to meet expectations on functionality, timeliness, and cost.
  • Directly manage technology services and infrastructure vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to procure resources and technology solutions to meet the Company's strategic objectives.
  • Assure lowest possible cost of ownership of technical systems through vendor negotiations and benchmarking.
  • Define best practice processes, standards, and tools for operational readiness.
  • Liaise with company's technical service suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
  • Drive business case development with finance, analytics, and operational teams for each opportunity, then lead the discussion with stakeholders to create clear, data and business outcome driven strategies.
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
  • Participate in the management of IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare and present budgets, driving top-line revenue through managing expenses, forecasting, and analyzing financial statements.
  • Utilize a total cost of ownership (TCO) approach when requesting funds for new technology or systems. TCO includes software, hardware, infrastructure, consultant time, IT time, business user time and the same costs associated with system maintenance.
  • Identify the need for revisions, upgrades or new solutions on existing infrastructure by keeping up to date on industry trends and developments.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership, contractors, technicians, vendors, and other professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and provide guidance to the team.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, hospitality or related field from a four-year accredited college or university required.
  • Three to Five (3-5) years progressive hospitality technology management experience leading IT operations within the hospitality or entertainment industry required.
  • Management experience and strong understanding with server technologies and implementations, cloud management, networking, low voltage, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IP phone systems, point of sale, ticketing technology, food and beverage solutions; along with the integrations across these systems is required.
  • Pre-Opening and implementation experience highly preferred.
  • Track record implementing digital solutions to improve business processes and relationships between customers and employees is ideal.
  • Multi-property and/or regional management experience required.
  • Demonstrate management knowledge of system, application, and network maintenance.
  • Proven strong leadership and people management skills required with positive motivational and collaboration emphasis; communicates effectively, overcomes resistance, and builds commitment.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating and implementing technology solutions or systems. Demonstrate working knowledge of hospitality technology operations compliance, regulations, best practices, procedures, and structures.
  • Demonstrate advanced skill in creating and maintaining performance metrics for measuring IT program effectiveness. (e.g., service desk metrics)
  • Exhibit excellent project management skills and proficiency in project management tools
  • Proficient in Teams, SharePoint, Power BI & all Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to respond to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles
  • Demonstrate advanced conflict management skills to resolve challenges in a positive and constructive manner to minimize negative impact
  • Proven experience partnering and collaborating with all levels of an organization to develop networks, build alliances, engage in cross- functional activities and find common ground with stakeholders
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exhibit sound business ethics/integrity and a commitment to corporate responsibility
  • Demonstrate critical thinking-using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths/weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Demonstrate stability-the tendency to handle stress, maintain an even temperament and demonstrate confidence across most situations, while ensuring transparency within the company, in a fast-paced, multi-task, and high-pressure environment.
