QUALIFICATIONS:

CCISD EMPLOYEES ONLY- THIS IS AN INTERNAL ANNOUNCEMENT. To apply you must already be a full-time CCISD Employee, with employment that is continuing through the 2024-25 School Year (not resigning, not in a position where funding is expiring, NOT open to tutors, temps, or substitutes).

Education/Certification:

* Required: High School Graduate or GED

* Microsoft Role-Based Certification (3 passed within first 2 years)

* Manufacturer Certified Repair Technician

* Maintain certification with current District standards

* Preferred: Degree in computer related field

Technology Proficiency: Level 4 - Advanced Proficiency (in)

* Management and support of web-based applications

* Multiple computer operating systems

* Network operating systems

* Software installation

* Hardware operating systems

* Technology maintenance and support applications

* Use of network resources

* Solving complex technology-related issues

* Working knowledge of classroom technology

Experience:

Required:

* Three years of experience developing plans to improve technology services and customer productivity.

* Three years of experience supporting Microsoft (desktop infrastructure).

* Three years of experience in supporting mobile technology (Chromebooks, iPads).

Preferred:

* Three years of experience developing plans to improve network performance, and help desk administration.

FUNCTION:

The Senior Technology Support Administrator is responsible for working with Technology Support Administrators and Campus Technology Technicians to develop plans, procedures, needs assessments, and resources to achieve end user satisfaction relating to technology support of the District campuses and administrative offices.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

* Work with the Network, Systems, and Help Desk teams to design and maintain campus technology requirements, such as network/server and other technologies.

* Work with the Network, Systems, and Help Desk teams to analyze problem data and develop a course of action to appropriate service levels.

* Meet with end users (administrators, principals, teachers, etc.) to determine the needs and resources required to accomplish the installation/setup of the campus technology system(s).

* Work with the Technology Support Administrators and Campus Technology Technicians to determine the training and resources necessary to support the end users.

* Assist in developing the training plans for Technology Support Administrators and Campus Technology Technicians based on data and observations.

* Work with Technology Support Administrators and Campus Technology Technicians to develop guides to assist end users in understanding and using the technology provided to them.

* Work with Technology Support Administrators and Campus Technology Technicians to assist network users with problems they might encounter with technology.

* Lead project teams and 3rd party contractors on projects.

* Develop and monitor Technology Support Administrators and Campus Technology Technicians' processes of maintaining inventory of technology devices in coordination with the Assets and Inventory team.

* Utilize the District's work order system to identify common issues and collaborate with the Technology teams to define and implement a solution.

* Manage the Student Technology Service Center(S-TSC) program and day-to-day activities of participating students.

* Utilize innovative training models for teaching and engaging student staff.

* Prepare students to challenge the Manufacturer Certified Repair Technician exams

* Serve as the S-TSC program contact person for campus personnel.

* Participate in student recruitment expos at campus, district, and community events in support of the S-TSC.

* Maintain a master schedule of working hours for S-TSC staff.

* Collect, disaggregate, and submit relevant program data to leadership or other stakeholders in a timely manner.

* Process manufacturer warranty claims.

* Ensure inventory levels for device repairs are within operational limits.

* Responsible for submitting student hourly reports to campus sponsors for TEA compliance on a monthly basis.

* Provide written documentation to Director and Associate Director for Technology Support Services on Technology Support Administrators and Campus Technology Technicians performance.

* Assist with the Help Desk function when required.

* Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor on a project basis.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES:

* Direct technical efforts of Technology Support Administrators, Campus Technology Technicians, Student Technology Technicians, and others on a project basis.

* Conditions associated with installing and configuring computer networks. Lifting, moving, bending, kneeling, and crawling are frequently required. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. District-wide travel; occasional out-of-District travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
