As the Senior Technology Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the installation, technical system support, and maintenance of all technology systems that support the EOC, including the E911 call-taking system, computer aided dispatch system, E911 mapping systems, recording system, its components, networks and servers, workstations and tablets, and database management. - Lead the technical support, installation, and ongoing maintenance of the E911 system including circuits, call answering equipment, call transfer equipment, ANI/ALI functionality, E911 telecommunications systems, visual call information and storage devices, recording equipment, PSAP backup power systems, consoles, connectivity interfaces, network clocks, and related E911 functionality.
- Serve as a point of contact for all configuration and support issues for all the technology at the EOC, including the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software with a primary focus on CAD applications and CAD Interfaces.
- Help to support the maintenance of hardware and software infrastructure affecting the Public Safety Radio System and related network connectivity in the EOC.
- Create and support the development of technical and operational procedures and policies; design system performance data collection processes; implement performance measures and benchmarks and conduct quality assurance on all related technology components utilized in the EOC.
- Develop short- and long-term lifecycle planning to optimize system performance and prepare for emerging trends and future operational requirements.
- Maintain an inventory of 911 Center technology and equipment and certify its use on the system. Act as liaison with governmental and private organizations and promote interoperability between internal agencies and outside systems.
- Design training manuals or guides and conduct training for new or changing technology components.
- Participate in the budget process by making recommendations for technology located at the EOC. May be required to complete an independent analysis and conduct research to support recommendation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Enterprise Information Technology Applications Manager, department management, or their designee.
E-Work/Hybrid Work: Currently this position is eligible to e-work up to 2 days per week! After you complete your first six months, contingent on work requirements and other factors, you'll be eligible for this fantastic benefit.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About YouTo thrive in this position, you must have-- Minimum of 4-year related degree with 2 years of related experience
- -OR- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other relevant field with 2 years of related experience
- -OR- Master's degree with 1 or more years of related experience
- -OR- Any equivalent amount of related experience may be substituted for education at the discretion of management
- Valid Florida driver's license
