Are you ready to go beyond?​What You Will DoSr. Tool and Gage MakerIndependently perform a variety of tool and gage making functions to support various machines and equipment within the business unit and other areas of the facilityTypical tasks include, but are not limited to the following:Read and work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and piece samples, layout durable tools for the purpose of machining and/or inspectionPerform machining processes to conduct alterations and necessary repairs on tools, gages and fixturesUnderstand the use and care of basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment to complete complex compound angled set-upsPerform set-ups with proficiency, in a safe mannerEnsure that all fixtures and gages (simple and complex) are calibrated and/or fabricated to specificationsProvide written and verbal technical support to internal and external customersUnderstand and work to the Pratt & Whitney tool-related proceduresFabricate and Calibrate ID/OD gages for inspection of diameters; precisely compute compound anglesEnsure that tools are properly identified with all information including tool number, weight and change letterExecute related SAP transactions thoroughly and accuratelyAdhere to procedures for machine sign-in, clean-up and maintenance of equipment, clocking procedures, tooling sign-out for inventory management, and vacation schedulingFollow EHS guidelines and procedures such as use of proper P.P.E., following Job Safety Analysis work sheets and watch for the safety of co-workersWork to ACE initiatives following guidelines; contribute to continuous improvement of all work related functionsFlexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtimeAbility to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneouslyMust be able to speak, read, write and understand EnglishThis is a 2nd shift , Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-1:30amWhat You Will LearnSkills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing within a stat of the art facility.Training and advancement opportunities at all levels through a supportive and collaborative employee experience.On -the -job training using the most advanced technology in the industry todayQualifications You Must HaveHigh School or GED5+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years w/completed certificate or post-secondary degree in related fieldU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We Prefer5+ years of tool & gage making experience with completed technical certificate / post-secondary degree in related field, trade or tool & gage making programDemonstrated knowledge of advanced shop math, algebra, trigonometry, and geometryUnderstand the use and care of machinery, basic hand tools and precision measuring equipmentWorking knowledge of silver and soft solderingWorking knowledge of welding and heat treat applicationsExcellent computer skillsWhat We OfferBonus Plan – eligible to participate in the Company's Aerospace Variable Plan (AVP)Comprehensive Benefits Program - medical, dental, vision and life insurancePaid time off including vacation, personal/sick time, and holidaysAdditional Leaves including short-term & long-term disability, parental leave, bereavement leave, jury duty coverage, and military leaveSavings & Investment Plan with company match & employer contributionsFlexible savings and spending accountsEmployee Assistance Program with onsite and referral resources to support a Healthy YouEmployee Scholar Program – one of the most comprehensive company-sponsored employee education programs in the world (No waiting period!)Employee discounts and rebates programLearn More and Apply Now!What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
