We are seeking experienced Senior Transportation Engineer(s), PE's in our Augusta office.Responsibilities:
  • Create simulation models.
  • Prepare technical reports, such as traffic engineering reports, roadway designs, and traffic impact studies.
  • Perform other engineering duties as needed to support various partners with projects related to traffic engineering, engineering design, and planning.
  • Provide engineering assistance developing project plans, designs or other engineering projects.
Qualifications:
  • 6-15+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with roadway design
  • Licensed PE within the state of GA or TN
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or an engineering-related field from an accredited higher education institution
  • Traffic simulation modeling experience (i.e., Synchro, VISSIM, HCS 2010, etc.)
  • Software design experience (i.e., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Inroads, etc.)
  • Understanding of GDOT policies and procedures, including Plan Development Process, Design Policy Manual, AASHTO Green Book, MUTCD, and Georgia Blue Book
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Possess developing technical writing skills
  • Ability to research and apply development standard guidelines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to apply independent judgement
  • The candidate should expect to perform in a deadline-driven environment.
  • The candidate is expected to either have taken or registered for the FE Exam within the first year of employment, and to begin seeking professional licensure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing is required.
