Job Description:
A. Morton Thomas, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is seeking a highly motivated Transportation Engineer to assume a key role in the firm's growing Midwest design team. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 8 years of experience working on Transportation projects in West Virginia and/or Ohio. Position can be flexible to our Parkersburg, WV or Charleston, WV offices.The PositionWe are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to perform and/or supervise roadway design assignments on transportation and infrastructure projects throughout AMT's Midwest Region. The potential for rapid advancement to Project Manager for the right individual will be considered. Position will be part of the West Virginia Team with the flexibility to perform work in a hybrid environment.Qualifications
    • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution;
    • Licensed Professional Engineer in WV preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months;
    • Minimum of 8 years of Roadway Design experience;
    • Knowledge of State and Federal transportation design standards; WVDOH and/or ODOT experience is a plus;
    • Ability to supervise and mentor younger staff and assist with project management;
    • Technical proficiency with Bentley Microstation, Corridor Modeler, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD);
    • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D a plus;
    • Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction concepts preferred;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn; and
    • In addition to the basic requirements above, the ideal candidate should be technically sound, have a passion for outstanding client service, establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and other team members.
