Overview:
Group 1 Automotive is looking to add a Senior Used Vehicle Regional Manager to our Southeastern region. This selected person will have the talent and experience to improve activities and performance of the Used Vehicle Sales Departments for multiple locations. (i.e. achieving used vehicle unit sales, PRU as well as adherence to policies and process). This position requires a person with superior organizational skills and team building abilities, as well as, align withGP1 Core Values of Integrity, Transparency, Professionalism, Teamwork and Respect.
The work position is located in the Gulf Coast and Southeast markets and the selected candidate must have the ability to relocate to the area if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Support and improve performance and profitability of Used Vehicle Sales Departments for multiple locations
- Achieve strong used vehicle unit sales and PRU, as well as adherence to policies and process
- Exhibit superior organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate exceptional team-building abilities
- Ability to work well in a process-driven environment and from anywhere
- Develop and lead monthly Used Vehicle Market Meetings
- Work with Used Vehicle Ops Team to forecast monthly metrics and project status updates
- Engage with priority stores to achieve key goals, performance, expectations and best practices (i.e. Trade Ratio, PRU, Unit Sales, etc.)
- Work with selected dealerships identified for improvement and assist in creating work plans to achieve goals
- Assist in interviewing UV Manager candidates, as requested
- Train UV Manager new hires, as needed, on GPI processes and systems
- Ensure UV Managers are informed of market trends
- Assist dealers in creating innovative ways to procure vehicle inventory and maintain healthy days' supply.
- Monitor, coach, and assist in time-to-market, photo quality, and retail pricing
- Appraise inbound vehicles from all digital acquisition sources, as needed
- Assist dealers in bidding unique or non-core vehicles, as requested
- Perform UV appraisals during acquisition or disposition of dealerships
- Transfer aged inventory, based on internal protocols and resolve arbitrations
- Assist with and monitor dealership wholesaling activities
- Partner with Service Departments to manage reconditioning of used vehicles
- Work with Logistics team to minimize transportation times and expenses

Qualifications:
- 5 years management experience in a dealership used vehicle department required.
- Operate laptop/personal computer with ease utilizing Microsoft Office: Email, Excel and Word, CDK and MAX
- CDK Experience a plus.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Works effectively in a commission, performance-based, environment
- Interact successfully with various personalities, levels of management, and dealership culture
