Position Summary

The Director of Operations will be an integral member of the TRB Insurance leadership team. In this role, the Director of Operations will be responsible for developing and managing the insurance operations function including identifying opportunities for process improvements, best practices, compliance and cultivating a culture of customer service excellence.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute the TRB Insurance strategic plan.
  • Responsible for enhancing the operational, managerial, and administrative procedures, and overall controls.
  • Work directly with the TRB Insurance leadership team to drive operational excellence, enhance the scalability of the business model, and help the business manage risk as it grows.
  • Oversee, lead and support processes for a service team in a time sensitive and demanding environment ensuring an excellent client experience across the business.
  • Ensure the day-to-day operations to efficiency and productivity, establish, observe and monitor workflow processes, develop and implement best practice operational policies and procedures while automating wherever possible and supporting the direct, accurate and timely flow of financial data to the financial team.
  • Create efficiency through the careful and strategic application of technology and helping manage change that results from such solutions.
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Available to travel, as needed.
  • Support and promote the Bank and Division's vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
  • Must have excellent analysis, observation and decision-making skills.
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community.
  • Individual should be able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and then should remain composed.
  • Provide a strong, compassionate and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank and/or Division policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years in an insurance agency setting with direct or indirect operational oversight of business processes. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
  • Five (5) years of insurance agency experience with direct or indirect operational oversight of business processes.
  • Relevant professional certification preferred (CIC, CRM).
  • Excellent proficiency with Applied Epic.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility, professionalism, ability to work in a highly stressful environment and perform a variety of tasks with numerous interruptions is necessary.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivator, goal-oriented with the ability to foster strong relationships.
  • Strong ability to manage change.
  • Ability to use a PC.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.
