Position Summary:

  • Works closely with advisors and their clients to understand their financial situation through financial assessments, assists in creating personalized financial plans, and provides guidance on a broad array of complex investment services&solutions, to help clients achieve their overall financial objectives.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Independently evaluates new business opportunities and client prospects, focusing on responsible business growth that is compliant, of acceptable risk and profitable.
  • Serves in a consultative role to prospects, advising UHNW and HNW parties on the best way to achieve their short- and long- term strategic objectives through the firm's solutions and partner networks.
  • Ensuring that all of BNY Pershing Wealth practices are delivered to our enrolled clients, including creating and maintain comprehensive financial plans.
  • Subject matter expert on all financial planning topics which impact clients including cash flow, retirement, lifecycle goals, succession planning, tax strategies etc.
  • Will work with teams on opportunities sourced by other functional team members.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations. Timely completion of all team assigned tasks is required.
  • Continuous learning is expected. Serves as a role model, and mentor, (and is accountable for) training less-experienced team members.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field

Experience:

CFP certification required

FINRA Series 7 and 66

7-10 years experience in the financial industry

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
