Keep scrolling for additional information about TIME.The Role:TIME is seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Vice President, Head of Product to lead and scale our digital product strategy and development, with a strong emphasis on integrating advanced AI and Generative AI technologies across our web platforms and company operations. As a key member of the leadership team, the SVP/VP will drive innovation and growth, ensuring an exceptional user experience across TIME's website and digital properties. This role demands a dynamic leader with deep expertise in digital media trends, product innovation, and audience engagement, alongside a forward-thinking approach to leveraging new technologies. You will oversee a multidisciplinary outsourced team of Product, Design, and Development professionals, guiding the evolution of TIME.com and optimizing our web presence to meet evolving user needs and enhance overall performance.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership in AI and Digital Innovation:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that incorporates AI and Generative AI technologies, aligned with TIME's mission, vision, and business objectives.
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging trends in AI to drive product innovation and differentiate TIME in the competitive landscape.
  • Lead the company's efforts in learning and deploying new AI applications across the website and company operations.
Product Development and Team Leadership:
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, with a strong focus on AI-driven solutions and innovations.
  • Lead internal team of Product and Project Managers
  • Collaborate with an outsourced team of product managers, designers, developers, and data analysts to deliver high-quality, user-centric products.
  • Ensure the integration of AI technologies enhances the user experience and product functionality.
AI-Driven Audience Insights:
  • Utilize data-driven insights, including AI and machine learning analytics, to inform product decisions and enhance audience engagement.
  • Continuously analyze product performance and adapt strategies to meet evolving consumer needs, leveraging AI for predictive analysis and personalization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Innovation:
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, technology, and business teams to ensure product alignment with overall company goals and AI initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and agility within the product development team, encouraging the adoption of AI technologies.
Market Analysis and AI Integration:
  • Conduct competitive analysis, focusing on AI advancements, and stay abreast of industry trends to ensure TIME's products remain cutting-edge and relevant.
  • Adjust product strategies based on AI capabilities, competitive landscape, and market demands.
Financial Oversight and Resource Management:
  • Manage product budgets, including investments in AI technology, track financial performance, and ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
  • Drive efficiency and ROI for all product initiatives, with a focus on AI-driven solutions.
Stakeholder Communication and Leadership:
  • Communicate the product vision, strategy, and progress, especially concerning AI initiatives, to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on product performance, strategic initiatives, and the impact of AI applications.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record in media or publishing industries and experience with AI technologies are highly preferred.
  • Leadership and AI Expertise: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams and outsourced teams. Experience in scaling product teams, managing complex projects, and integrating AI technologies.
  • Strategic Thinking and Innovation: Exceptional strategic and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to drive innovation and growth in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of digital product development, including AI, web and mobile technologies, data analytics, and user experience design.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and engage diverse audiences, including AI-related concepts.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree, especially in AI or technology-related fields, is a plus.
