CDLI supports these achievements on the individual and community level by offering innovative solutions and resources to achieve personal and community economic growth.

Position Summary

The Senior Vice President, Advancement will work as part of the Executive Management team to build from the existing strong financial foundation and strategically plot a course of ongoing financial sustainability and continued growth for CDLI and its affiliates. Responsibilities include securing financial resources through grants, appeals, fee for service, and revenue generating initiatives which support short and long-term organizational goals. This includes furthering CDLI's marketing strategy and development. The SVP of Advancement will oversee and mentor the Marketing and Development department.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Executive Management team, cultivate an annual comprehensive development plan defining goals, objectives, methods, quantifiable outcomes and timelines.
  • Develop and monitor an annual fund budget with revenue and expense projections.
  • Actively develops a creative approach, investigating possible program partnerships and strategic alliances, to secure an enhanced donor base with an emphasis on enhancing community awareness.
  • Deliver and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that includes events, media relations, press releases, social networking, Annual report, website, newsletters, and branding.
  • Collaborate with all departments to gain insight into all programs, obtain information for reporting, comply with donor expectations and be aware of programmatic needs for funding to fill gaps or unmet client needs.
  • Manage and promote annual events.
  • Develop positive brand awareness to strengthen community reputation.
  • Mentor and cultivate the Marketing and Development staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Fundraising, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of development, marketing and/or fundraising experience.
  • A flexible work schedule is a must as this position requires evening hours and some weekend availability.
  • An exceptional ability to communicate, both written and oral, with the ability to influence and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds cultivating long-term relationships.
  • Strong public speaking and networking skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and exceptional attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
