Vice President of Finance, Corporate Partnerships & Investments

Client is a successful solar and storage IPP dedicated to accelerating the transition to a sustainable future by partnering with businesses, communities, and other industry leaders.

This executive role is pivotal to advancing the company's growth strategy by identifying and executing high-value investment opportunities within the renewable energy sector. The Vice President of Finance will oversee the development and refinement of a strategic investment framework to align with organizational goals, driving the expansion of the renewable energy portfolio and fostering partnerships across industries. This role also involves leading a small, high-performing team with a focus on distributed generation solar, especially as it pertains to capital fundraising and financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct extensive market research to pinpoint potential investments aligned with company objectives.
• Develop a comprehensive investment strategy, analyzing data from financial reports to ensure agile responses to market shifts.
• Evaluate and monitor existing portfolio assets, identifying key strengths, potential areas for growth, and strategies for risk mitigation.
• Drive the fundraising process for distributed generation solar projects, with a focus on attracting capital and structuring transactions to support portfolio growth.
• Maintain a sharp focus on current market forecasts, trends, and opportunities to refine investment approaches and support company objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field; master's degree or MBA in renewable energy business or finance is highly preferred
• 10+ years of experience in renewable energy finance, with a focus on distributed generation solar
• Proven expertise in structuring complex transactions and securing development capital
• Demonstrated ability to source, negotiate, and close high-impact transactions efficiently
• Strong background in sustainable finance, energy investments, or blended financing
• History of building and maintaining partnerships with financial institutions and industry stakeholders
• Strategic leader with experience managing teams
