Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Vice President of Operations to lead and enhance our operations, bringing extensive knowledge and experience to our dynamic team. This position is a combination of strategic planning, management, and coordination to ensure that processes align with the company's overall goals. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of operation solutions. The successful candidate will possess 15-20 years of relevant experience with a strong hands-on engineering background, as well as a deep understanding of CNG and gas operations. Additionally, established contacts within the midstream gas transportation industry will be invaluable in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction and operational effectiveness to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Develop and implement robust processes that enhance accountability and performance across teams
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement with a track record of bringing related teams together to achieve a larger goal within Simon Group Holdings entities
- Identify potential risks in engineering projects and devise mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization
- Utilize financial acumen to analyze production costs, develop budgets, and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Establish industry relationships to identify and capture new business opportunities and strengthen operational networks in both oilfield and alternative industries.
- Manage human and material resources, ensuring that engineering teams have the necessary tools and support to perform their functions effectively
- Implement and monitor KPIs to identify where to adjust strategic decisions and operational plans
- Mentor and coach team members to build a high-performing culture that emphasizes professional career growth and Teamwork
- Serve as a key representative of the company in external presentations, effectively communicating operational capabilities and initiatives to customers and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- 15-20 years of experience in the gas transportation industry or related industries, with demonstrated expertise in operational leadership
- Strong hands-on engineering background with knowledge of CNG, gas processes, and equipment (RJT, Compression, Pressure Reduction Systems, etc..) that enables the team to build robust processes and training for equipment used to achieve safety guidelines for Company and customers
- Established network and contacts within the midstream gas sector
- Proven track record of developing strong processes, structures, and accountability measures
- Proven track record in engineering project management, and leadership roles
- Experience in financial analysis and KPI development is a plus
