Summary of Responsibilities:The Senior Vice President of Operations for Extell Hospitality Services LLC (EHS) is a key executive leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational excellence of all managed properties within the portfolio and performing other duties as assigned. The SVP is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of pre-opening and ongoing operations and ensures seamless coordination between and among franchise partners, F&B collaborators, and third-party service providers. This role is pivotal in driving asset management, fiscal discipline, and strategic growth across all properties. This role is ideal for a dynamic, results-driven hospitality leader with a passion for operational excellence and an ability to drive growth and profitability across a portfolio of luxury properties. Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership and Oversight: Provide strategic direction and leadership to General Managers, with all GMs directly reporting to this role; lead and support the pre-opening and operational processes of new properties, ensuring readiness and adherence to EHS standards; and assist with managing relationships with third-party franchise partners and F&B operators to maintain brand integrity and high service levels.
- Operational Excellence: Develop, implement, and oversee operating procedures and standards across properties; ensure all properties meet performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to include guest satisfaction, quality standards, and operational efficiency; and oversee asset management initiatives, optimizing property performance and maximizing returns for ownership.
- Fiscal Management: Lead the creation and management of pre-opening and operating budgets, as well as CapEx budgets; ensure profitability and financial health by overseeing P&L statements, implementing cost control measures, and driving revenue growth; and monitor financial performance and implement strategic initiatives for increased profitability.
- Executive Hiring and Talent Development: Manage the recruitment, selection, and development of Executive Committee members across properties; foster a culture of excellence, training, and mentorship to build high-performing teams; and ensure leadership teams are aligned with company goals and adhere to operational best practices.
- Strategic Planning and Growth: Collaborate with senior leadership to create and implement strategic initiatives that drive property performance and portfolio expansion; act as a key stakeholder in capital improvement projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution; and provide comprehensive reports and updates on operational status and key metrics to executive leadership and ownership.
Summary of Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of senior leadership experience in hospitality operations, preferably with multi-property oversight.
- Demonstrated expertise in pre-opening and property management, including extensive experience with P&L, budget creation, and CapEx management.
- Strong background in working with franchise partners and third-party F&B operators.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Proven track record in building and managing executive teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Strategic vision and ability to execute long-term operational plans.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, inspire, and build effective teams.
- Proficiency in asset management and maximizing property value.
