With our continued growth and mission focus we are looking to add a Senior Vice President of Operations to our team in the Manhattan office.

Essential Job Duties

  • Leadership & Strategic Planning: As a key leader within the organization, the SVP Operations provides strategic direction to branch operations and serves as a critical resource across the entire operational structure. They develop and implement strategies designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality, and drive profitability. In collaboration with executive management and internal teams, they ensure that the branch's operational goals align with the broader objectives of the company.
  • Operational Excellence: The SVP Operations oversees all day-to-day activities of the branch, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. They are responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline processes and optimize operational effectiveness. By closely monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, they continuously evaluate performance and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong client relationships is a key aspect of the role. The SVP, Operations, works closely with clients to understand their security needs and ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality customer service. They also collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services, addressing any client concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Team Development & Management: The SVP Operations plays a vital role in training and developing a high-performing operations team. Through ongoing coaching and mentorship, they support professional growth and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department. This ensures the team is equipped to deliver superior service.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards governing security operations is a core responsibility of this role. The SVP, Operations implements robust risk management protocols to safeguard personnel and assets while conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure full compliance and identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Financial Management: In partnership with the CFO and COO, the SVP Operations manages the branch's operational budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet financial targets. They monitor expenses, analyze financial performance, and implement cost-saving initiatives as needed. Regular financial reporting is provided to senior management to keep them informed of the branch's operational and financial health.
  • This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of operational performance, and the ability to foster client relationships while ensuring compliance and achieving financial goals.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Security Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in field security operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
    • In-depth knowledge of security industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends.
    • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) preferred.

    Compensation Range: $250,000 - $285,000 Annually
