Senior Vice President of Tax, Finance
Our client, a prestigious asset management firm, is seeking an experienced tax professional to join their firm in a leadership role as VP or Senior VP of Tax. This position will be responsible for managing all tax-related matters for our funds and management companies, including overseeing the K-1 process, liaising with tax preparers and advisors, preparing estimates, and conducting tax analyses. The ideal candidate will deeply understand partnership taxation, have excellent communication skills, and have a proven tax management track record at an investment or public accounting firm.
Job Duties:
Manage the K-1issuance process for all funds and management companies,
ensuring timely and accurate preparation and distribution
Manage the issuance of 1099s
Serve as the primary point of contact for tax preparers and advisors, to
coordinate on K-1 issuances and any tax matters that may arise in the
ordinary course of business
Oversee the preparation and filing of all necessary tax returns and estimates
and other filings
Prepare tax expense estimates for our funds
Conduct detailed tax analyses for our funds to identify opportunities for
optimization
Manage all tax analyses for funds' underlying investments, coordinating with
the investment team and outside tax advisors to ensure a comprehensive
understanding of tax implications and strategies
Stay up-to-date on relevant tax laws and regulations, proactively identifying
and addressing any potential impacts on our funds and management
companies

Provide expert guidance and support to senior management and the board
on tax optimization
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree
in Taxation preferred
CPA certification required
Minimumof10yearsoftax experience, preferably in an investment
Management firm or at a public accounting firm
Experience with private credit funds preferred
Deep expertise in partnership taxation and experience with private equity,
venture capital, or hedge fund structures
Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for
explaining complex tax concepts to non-experts
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment
Strong Excel skills
