Job Summary
In conjunction with the other regional leaders, determine the long-term strategic objectives of the operational areas supporting the regional business. Ensure business growth through directing and managing business operations activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy. To plan, direct and manage the performance of the company's operations, as dictated by the overall corporate strategy so as to maintain and develop business growth in accordance with the agreed business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
Human Resources – Leads the integration of human resources processes and systems to those at Corporate. Ensures effective processes are in place supporting the regional talent selection process, alignment of talents and skills to organizational needs, maintenance of high performance and high engagement levels, effective communication across the operation, organizational culture and change management awareness and/or transitioning initiatives, assurance that timely and assertive performance management processes and talent development plans are in place and operating effectively.
Loan Operations - Ensures loan servicing is managed according to operational and regulatory standards. This includes loan bookings for all portfolios in accordance to established terms, payment processes, updated financial information from borrowers, appraisals, collateral monitoring, compliance with laws and regulations, legal documentation and property taxes considerations, among others.
Deposits Operations – Ensure deposits operations is managed according to operational and regulatory standards. This includes deposits bookings of all products, branch operations, ACH operations, claims management and daily transactions monitoring of returned items and NSF's, among others.
Project Management – Leads the project management team in charge of innovation tied to new systems and processes implementation within the region.
Regional Quality – Leads the regional second line of defense monitoring the quality of all regional operations.
Administrative Regional Oversight of Functions Reporting Functionally to Corporate
BSA and Anti Money Laundering Compliance

Special Projects:
Implementation of Automated Software for the Special Assets Group Workflow.
Assists the Region in the standardization of the Puerto Rico and Florida activities.
Assist the Regional Executive in technical and administrative aspects of special transactions and/or projects in which the intervention is required.
Assist the Regional Executive in the strategic alignment of the region's mission with that of the Corporation's.
Ensure standardized reporting formats for all units within management.
Establishment of a continuous monitoring methodology for activities within the region. Develop, implement and monitors policies, procedures and scorecards for the effective operation of the region. Report variances to the Regional Executive.
Coordinates the submission of Region's reports to be presented to Corporate as it related to areas managed.
