POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Operations role is accountable for all aspects of the company's commercial organization. She/he is responsible for the achievement of the company's strategic, operational, and financial commercial goals, as well as providing critical information about the company's products and markets to the rest of the organization and board of directors as a member of the Executive Committee. The Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Operations is expected to communicate effectively to a variety of internal and external stakeholders including the sales team, executive and board members, commercial partners, marketing and creative agencies, physicians, and advocacy groups, etc. The Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Operations is responsible for setting the cultural tone of the sales and marketing teams and ensuring a commitment to the ethics, compliance, and integrity of the team in everything we do.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Participate in the development of corporate strategy and goals as a member of the Executive Committee.
* Design and implement short- and long-term commercial strategy and annual growth plans.
* Direct oversight of sales administration, marketing, remote/inside/national sales, and sales operations personnel.
* Oversee the Vice President, Sales and Professional Relations and, indirectly, oversee all field sales personnel.
* Hire, develop and retain commercial leaders, including the Vice President, Sales and Professional Relations.
* Design and administer effective incentive compensation plans, including special incentives, to drive the company's annual growth plans.
* Set monthly and quarterly targets for field and remote sales organizations.
* Retain, oversee, and annually assess all marketing and creative firms; set budgets and approve payments to these firms in accordance with the achievement of agreed-upon statements of work.
* Develop and achieve annual financial budgets for all commercial functions.
* Contribute to the development and execution of current and future products.
* Lead the sales strategy for future products.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degree required.
* 10+ years of progressive business experience in the life sciences/healthcare industry, substantial experience leading commercial or sales organizations.
* Women's health sector-specific experience strongly preferred.
